The rigorous boot camp curriculum is delivered through high-quality coursework and live, online noncredit classes led by instructors who are reviewed by the University of Oregon Continuing and Professional Education. All instructors are assessed for not only their experience in the field, but also their ability to successfully communicate coding concepts to students in an online environment. Instructors are dedicated to delivering a quality curriculum and to enhancing the learning experience of their students; they also offer 1-on-1 guidance to learners throughout the program.

Learn fundamental concepts of web development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Portfolio Project: Build a client-side application using third-party APIs.

Work with servers, databases, and other back end technologies, such as MySQL database, Node.js, and more.

Portfolio Project: Engineer your first full stack application.

Grow your skills using NoSQL databases, convert traditional applications into progressive web applications, and learn React.

Portfolio Project: Create a MERN stack single-page application.

By the time you complete the boot camp, you will have mastered in-demand skills, built an impressive portfolio of coding projects, and earned a valuable Certificate of Completion from University of Oregon Continuing and Professional Education.

About Continuing and Professional Education


Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) connects the University of Oregon with regional communities to enable learning outside of the traditional university setting. Working in partnership with UO schools and colleges, selected vendors, and national credentialing associations, we serve more than 5,000 participants annually.


Through Continuing and Professional Education, individuals can access professional development, lifelong learning, and community engagement opportunities that will allow them to grow and thrive without being an admitted student at the UO.


Continuing and Professional Education programs are self-support and fee-based; they do not use state dollars. CPE reports to the Division of Student Services and Enrollment Management.


This non-degree program is offered through the University of Oregon Continuing and Professional Education in partnership with edX.
