In 24 weeks, the University of Oregon Continuing and Professional Education Cybersecurity Boot Camp will prepare you with the technical skills you need to protect digital environments. Through an immersive hands-on curriculum, you will not only learn fundamental cybersecurity methods, but also put them into action through practical exercises.

The curriculum is delivered through live, online noncredit classes and high-quality coursework. Our instructors are reviewed by UO CPE and offer 1-on-1 virtual guidance to learners throughout the program.

Learn to think like a cybersecurity professional by assessing threats and mitigating risks.

Gain hands-on experience working with the command line and bash commands that are prominent in IT roles. You will configure and audit servers, as well as harden and secure them from malicious attacks.

About Continuing and Professional Education


Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) connects the University of Oregon with regional communities to enable learning outside of the traditional university setting. Working in partnership with UO schools and colleges, selected vendors, and national credentialing associations, we serve more than 5,000 participants annually.

Through Continuing and Professional Education, individuals can access professional development, lifelong learning, and community engagement opportunities that will allow them to grow and thrive without being an admitted participant at the UO.

Continuing and Professional Education programs are self-support and fee-based; they do not use state dollars. CPE reports to the Division of Student Services and Enrollment Management.
